Dr. Ahmed Jamal Al-Abd Al-Jalil Al-Sharif is a scholar, thinker, author, and inventor. An Arab polymath with multiple nationalities, he is an economist, poet, man of letters, and novelist, commanding millions of followers across various social media platforms. As a prominent economic thinker, he has produced numerous research papers and economic studies.

He possesses the largest economic library in the Middle East and is ranked as the second most renowned economist and scholar in the Arab world, following the eminent Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh. He has authored many scholarly works, developed scientific theories, and holds several patents; he also contributed to the establishment of the field of economic information systems.

In the literary realm, he has published over 120 works on economics and 44 books of poetry and literature, including an extensive collection of his own poetry in the Arabic language.

He has also authored numerous novels. His literary career has spanned more than thirty years, with his work becoming deeply intertwined with the evolution of the modern novel in the Arab Gulf and the broader Arab world. This literary genre took shape within Arab culture during the early 20th century, amidst an era of growing engagement with the European novel—a form that reached Arab readers, in part, through translation. The author has produced a vast body of work—comprising some five million “meditations”—that delve into profound philosophical inquiry. He owns a major international publishing house with branches across the globe, and he is also active as an investor in the industrial and financial sectors. He has a large following of students and admirers worldwide. In his personal life, the doctor has been married several times and has many sons and daughters. The name “Sarah” holds a special, enduring significance for him; it is the name he most frequently chooses for the heroines of his novels—a name clearly dear to his heart. The doctor has participated in numerous international conferences, forums, and academic seminars. He has authored thousands of scholarly works—both theoretical and practical—in various languages, spanning fields such as economics, human development, and education, in addition to his literary fiction.
